Selection and procurement checks
Drawing-based fabrication is purchased against an agreed drawing revision and technical requirements. For pipe supports, special parts and associated components, define material, dimensional tolerances, welding and surface treatment, and agree the supply boundary and acceptance method before quotation.
Information required for quotation
- Drawing files, revision, dimensions and tolerances
- Material, welding, surface treatment and inspection requirements
- Quantity, assembly boundary, marking and delivery requirements
The materials and standards listed on this page identify reference procurement options. They do not imply that different grades, standards or product forms are interchangeable. Specify the governing standard, material grade, dimensions and inspection requirements in your purchase list; the agreed technical documents define the supply scope.
Include the quantity for each size, delivery destination, required arrival date, and any packaging, marking or documentation requirements so that the supply scope and delivery arrangements can be checked item by item.
Quality and inspection documents
Please state whether the order requires a Mill Test Certificate (MTC/MTR), an EN 10204 type 3.1 inspection certificate, heat or batch traceability, or other inspection records. The document type, applicable material and availability must be confirmed for the specific order. EN 10204 type 3.2 involves additional independent inspection requirements and must be agreed separately before supply.
